There will be two classes on Food Storage taught in Spanish Fork on Thursday evening.
Debbie Kent lives in the Southern California. She has been married for 30 years. She and her husband are the proud parents of 6 beautiful children, and grandparents of 3. She has been an advocate of food storage and emergency preparedness since her early teen age years. She enjoys giving emergency preparedness lessons each month at her church. Much of the resources found on this website are the culmination of hours of preparation for these lessons. She sincerely hopes that in sharing this information, other’s may benefit from her efforts. http://peaceofpreparedness.com/

Yes, it’s time again for a Crossroads of the West gun show (Saturday January 9, 2010), and I know several authors and
readers here were planning on going. With that in mind, I figured it’s a great time to have another meetup. With this I think we should set two times, one earlier in the show to meet up inside, for those that want to discuss things in the show, and a second time, meeting for lunch. (more…)
I’ve been hearing about a new shooting range out near Price for about two years now. The pictures and descriptions I kept hearing made it seem like a great place to check out, but the distance has kept me from visiting it. Until last weekend that is.
Now, I can’t wait to go back, this time with some firearms! Some of the Utah Preppers authors are heading up again on October 24th to watch some Cowboy Action Shooting and to do some shooting of our own. Read on to learn about this shooting sports venue, see some pictures and find out when some of us will be heading out.

Blue Chip Group is a Salt Lake based manufacturer of Emergency Food Storage supplies. They will be providing a demonstration of their products on February 5th in Salem, UT at 7 pm.
Here is the info I received on this event:

Preparedness Items will be there for demonstration also. This is a night to help you feel more confident in what you will have in your food storage in case of emergency. Recipes available and you can use these foods in your everyday cooking…they’re that GOOD! If you can’t make it on the 5th you can still group order. Don’t forget the meetup tomorrow night!  It will be a very informal get together, kids and spouses are welcome!
Where: Cabelas in Lehi, upstairs in the restaraunt
When: 6:00 pm, Jan 19
Come on up and grab some food and join us, we’ll be sitting around for a couple hours visiting and getting to know some of you. We’ll talk a bit as a group about what would be fun to do at a meetup – shooting would be fun :) – it’ll be a totally open forum.
If you’re a Utah prep blogger we encourage you to come and promote your blog, this isn’t about our website, it’s about preppers in the area getting together and having fun! Feel free to invite your readers if you like.
We’ve been discussing this for a while and even took a poll here on the site – Tuesday night was considered to be the best night to get together so with that in mind we’re going to do it – on Inauguration Day!
This will be a very informal meetup – we just want to get together, meet some local preppers and hang out for a bit. Hopefully we’ll have a good discussion about what we should do for future meetups – there are several possibilities there. We’re going to meet in the upstairs restaurant at Cabelas in Lehi at 6:00 pm on Tuesday January 20th, 2009. Hope to see you there!

Utah Preppers Meetup
Cabelas, Lehi in the restaraunt
Jan 20th, 6:00 pm – whenever.
UPDATE: I forgot to mention, let us know in the comments if you plan on coming! It would be nice to have an idea of what to expect.
We’ve been thinking about this for a bit, now it’s time to put it to the test – Who amongst us would be interested in having a prepper meetup? The first one would be informal, a meet and greet, there we would decide what kind of format we wanted future meetups to take. Future meetups might have presenters on a prep topic, could be a lead discussion, demonstration of certain technique, prep poetry reading – whatever. Although this will be sponsored by Utah Preppers, we want to invite other regional bloggers on prepping to come along and invite their readership as well.
We’ve had some interest expressed now we would like to measure it. We’re thinking after the holidays, so some time in January. We’ll never get a consensus on the night to do it, but what would be better? Tues/Wed/Fri? We’ll try to let the majority rule here :) So here are the options: Jan 13, 16 or 22.
Please let us know if you’re interested and what date would work better for you!
