Vendor Review: CountyComm.com

I admit it, I am a gadget freak, I particularly love gadgets that cater to the survivalist in me. My EDC/Mini-BOB post from a short time ago, clearly illustrates this point. The bag itself as well as a number of the nifty gadgets adorning or inside it it were purchased from CountyComm, our Vendor in the spotlight for this post.

CountyComm in their own words:

We try to carry wild or different products and we keep our prices low to start

CountyComm is a supplier of some very cool gadgets, often production over runs for government agencies and government contractors. Quantities on these overruns are often limited so the very cool items tend to sell out quickly. I tend to check their web site about twice a month to ensure I don’t miss out on any new sales or nifty gadgets.

While we are on the subject of the web site, let me start by saying that their web site is pretty poorly designed and can be a challenge to view. However, the ‘What’s New’ page make up for this as it allows you to quickly find any new additions to the site. As I write this, the most recent additions are a neat inexpensive lensatic compass and a tea candle lantern, both very nice preparedness items.

Below are some of the offerings from CountyComm that I own and use on a daily basis. The quality is outstanding and the prices are reasonable.

Items I am currently drooling over:

Both the regular and small Grappling Hooks

MOLLE vest

Please comment and tell us if their are any items from CountyComm that you would like to see us review.

  1. I have a few of their items too, I’m really interested right now in the SatCom bag they currently have. Seems like it would fit well with some of my other bug-out equipment.

I’d also like to see the candle lantern. I’ve had some good, and some really crappy ones. If these are good I’m planning on getting a couple.

And of course now I’m browsing the “What’s new” page more, and finding some things I could use :) Thanks, now I gotta order again.

  3. I just got one of the lensatic compasses. It’s ok for a $10 compass, but for a few bucks more you can get a good Silva compass, or a few less and you can get a surplus Bulgarian compass from CTD. I found it to not be as accurate as my other compasses, at least when I put them all on the table it points north in a different angle than tall the others do. It’ll be a gift for my oldest nephew soon.
